Heal Together, Grow Together
Family is everything
Family therapy focuses on the relationships within a family and addresses issues that may affect the well-being of individual members or the family as a whole. Through guided conversations and expert support, therapy helps families understand the underlying dynamics that influence their interactions and emotions. It provides tools to improve communication, manage conflict, and foster mutual understanding and respect.

When family therapy can be helpful
Family therapy can be beneficial during times of stress, transition, or crisis. This includes families in transition due to separation or divorce, grief/loss, or blending families. Whether you’re struggling with chronic conflict, supporting a loved one through addiction or mental health challenges, or simply wanting to improve your family’s communication, therapy offers a safe space for growth and healing.

I’m ready to help!
Therapy with me is designed around your family’s unique needs.

In families with young children, a combination of play and experiential techniques are used. For teens and pre-teens, games and activities help everyone to engage. Across all ages is a focus on promoting connection and strengthening bonds.
I use Emotionally Focused Family Therapy when working with families. Emotionally Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) helps families reconnect by addressing the emotional dynamics that drive conflict and disconnection. Rooted in attachment theory, EFFT focuses on helping family members understand each other’s emotional needs, improve communication, and break negative cycles of interaction.
Through this transformative process, families can rebuild trust, resolve conflicts, and strengthen their emotional bonds, creating a more supportive and resilient family unit.

EFFT is especially helpful for families dealing with:

Chronic Conflict

Emotional Distance

Parenting Challenges
Family Members Struggling With Mental Health Issues or Addiction

By fostering deeper emotional understanding, EFFT empowers families to navigate challenges with compassion and cooperation.
Ready to get started?
If you’re ready to start strengthening your family, I’m here to help. Take the first step by scheduling a free initial consultation. During our consultation, we’ll discuss your family’s needs and decide who should attend the intake appointment.
At the intake appointment, I’ll focus on getting to know you and your family. Every family is unique, and I welcome and accept all kinds of families. Be prepared to answer questions about yourself and your family as a whole. This meeting will help me decide which family members should be included in treatment to start, and who may join as treatment progresses.
If you are ready to book, use my SimplePractice account to do so. If you have some additional questions before you book, feel free to send me a contact form.
I look forward to talking to you!
